To ensure the safety of your order and minimize its bulk during storage and shipping, this paper light fixture is carefully folded or compacted before being placed in its packaging. It will therefore not be delivered in its final form—this is completely normal.
How do you restore it to its original shape?
Unpack carefully: Gently remove the lampshade from its packaging, avoiding any sudden movements. Do not pull on the folded areas.
Unfold by hand: Gradually open the lampshade by separating the layers of paper with both hands, applying light, even, and gentle pressure.
Smooth with light steam: Run a garment steamer (or a steam iron held about 20–30 cm away) over the creased areas. The steam relaxes the paper fibers, allowing it to naturally return to its original shape.
Lightly spray with water: A light mist of water (using a spray bottle) followed by gentle smoothing by hand may be enough to remove creases. Allow to air dry before installation.
Use a hair dryer on low heat: Direct a stream of warm (never hot) air onto the creased areas while gently reshaping the paper by hand. Keep the dryer moving to prevent overheating.
Does the paper still look slightly crumpled or textured?
